What is Wall Vocab?

Wall Vocab is a SpaceCrafter Studio service. We design your wall together with you and then build the entire wall, every layer of it: the surface material and finish, the mural or graphics, the metalwork and lettering, and the lighting. One team designs, fabricates and installs it, for homes, villas and businesses.

A finished wall is several jobs on top of each other. We design them as one wall with you, then make and install each layer ourselves.

  1. Surface and finish

    The wall material itself and how it is finished: textured plaster, fluted panelling, relief panels or backlit panels.

  2. Mural or graphics

    A hand-painted mural, or printed wall graphics in vinyl and film.

  3. Metalwork and lettering

    Cut metal, names and lettering fixed to the wall.

  4. Lighting

    Backlighting and lit elements, installed and switched on by the same team.

We are at war with templates.

What is Wall Vocab?
Wall Vocab is a service from SpaceCrafter Studio. We design your wall together with you, then our own team builds the whole wall and installs it. You deal with one team from the first sketch to the finished wall.
Which layers of the wall does Wall Vocab cover?
All of them: the surface material and its finish, the mural or graphics, the metalwork and lettering, and the lighting. One team designs, makes and installs every layer, so nothing is handed to a separate vendor.
How much does a custom feature wall cost in India?
It depends on the technique and the size. Wall Vocab publishes indicative bands (September 2026): textured plaster ₹140 to ₹450 per sq ft, hand-painted murals ₹180 to ₹1,500, fluted panelling ₹280 to ₹700, relief panels ₹450 to ₹1,200 and backlit panels ₹700 to ₹3,000. A 10 by 8 ft wall is 80 sq ft, so in textured plaster it costs roughly ₹11,000 to ₹36,000.
How long does a custom wall take?
Send us a wall you love and you get a quote within 24 hours; a project lead reaches out within one working day to arrange a site visit. Fabrication takes a few days for vinyl and film and one to two weeks for metal, veneer and glass. A hand-painted mural is painted on site over several days.
Can you design a wall for my villa or home?
Yes. Entrance walls, living room feature walls, staircase walls, bedroom walls, courtyard murals and compound walls are all Wall Vocab work. Send a photo of the wall on WhatsApp and a designer replies personally.
Do I pay for the design?
No. Designing and consultation are free. You pay only if you decide to build.
Where do you work?
The studio and workshop are in Bengaluru, and SpaceCrafter Studio has delivered projects in 50+ cities across India.
How is this different from hiring an interior designer?
An interior designer usually hands the wall to separate vendors for plaster, metal, lettering and lighting. With Wall Vocab the team that designs the wall also fabricates and installs it, and it designs only in materials its own workshop works with, so what you approve is what gets built.
