Why should the design and manufacturing teams be under one roof?
With design and manufacturing in one building, the designers check materials, fixings, weight and lighting with the people who will make the piece, while the design can still change. Measurements are taken once, colours are matched on the real material, and no detail is lost in a handover between two companies. The finished space matches the drawing.
Why does experience matter in signage and spatial branding?
Signs fail in ways a drawing does not show. Letters fade in the sun, lights fail after a monsoon, fixings loosen on a windy facade, and a sign that looked right on screen cannot be read from the road.
